What is Thakki project

SMART Project is an educational developmental project that provides psychosocial, rehabilitative and educational support to Yemeni students and addresses the psychological and moral effects of war within the framework of the Community Empowerment Project for Youth so that they may have a prominent role in building their homeland and actively participate in taking decisions and treat the after-effects of war on individuals, families and society.

SMART is a project that serves Yemeni people and establishes the future path of progress and development in the homeland.

PROJECT IDEA

The idea of the SMART Centre is based on three main foundations: education, development and skills.

It is based on the concept of education that teaches the individual and provides them with skills, abilities and knowledge required to create community development and benefit from the skills and abilities of the young men and women of Yemen. Having such an idea in mind, the national educational program (SMART) which has obtained governmental license no. (302) plans to implement several programs that contribute to the creation of an educated, enlightened and mindful generation that carries lofty values and good conduct and is aware of the potentially surrounding dangers.

The project aims to immunize and offers psychological support for children who are victims of wars and crises. It is also concerned with raising people’s awareness of the damages and dangers of negative behaviours and practices including chewing qat, smoking and carrying weapons through the implementation of several awareness-raising, educational and rehabilitative programs. Furthermore, it organizes many developmental programs for Yemeni youth of the two sexes  that develop their skills, knowledge and abilities.
